our sanctuary

Since April 2018 we have leased a 2.6 hectare area surrounded by beautiful nature in Hermersdorf, Müncheberg. Our dream is to realize our big sanctuary project there.

At our Elisenhof in Müncheberg/OT Hermersdorf we currently have 14 pigs that have been rescued from a laboratory and 240 sheep from the former sheep farm of the LEG Hermersdorf directly opposite our farm, which we were able to save from slaughter. We were also able to save 4 small calves from slaughter and bring them to the Elisenhof. If you would like to sponsor one of our fosterlings, please click here and scroll down to ’sponsorships‘.

You can have a look at our fosterlings right here.

our branch office ‚Animal Refuge‘

About 20km away from our Elisenhof lies our ‚Animal Refuge‘ in Buckow/OT Hasenholz, which with its 5200 sqm has been used as a farm since 2015. Little by little the animals of the ‚Animal Refuge‘ will also move out of our Elisenhof.

In our ‚branch office‘ Animal Refuge in Buckow/OT Hasenholz live at the moment 6 geese, 3 rabbits, 5 ponies as well as some cats who would like to introduce themselves.

You can have a look at them right here.

an animal sanctuary, but no pony farm

Many animals live on our farm, which were or are ill and had to experience suffering. Therefore many of the animals are afraid or shy. Dealing with them requires sensitivity and calm – we ask you to take this into account.

Children are always welcome and welcome. However, we ask parents to pay attention to their children and to show them the respectful treatment of the animals.

farm visits

We regularly receive enquiries from people who would like to visit our ‚Elisenhof‘ and get their own impression of our large-scale project. We are very happy about these inquiries and would like to introduce our animal sanctuary and our fosterlings to you. In order not to unnecessarily complicate the daily routine on the farm as well as all organizational tasks in the whole association, we would like to ask you not to visit us spontaneously but on the intended visiting and working days. For unscheduled visits please contact us at lasstdietiereleben@gmail.com

visiting days:

In the period from May 1st to October 31st we would like to offer you (for the time being) on every 2nd Saturday of the month as well as on every 4th Sunday of the month between 12:00 and 16:00 the opportunity to get to know our Elisenhof and its inhabitants personally.

On these days there will be 2 guided tours. The first tour starts around 12:00 o’clock, the second tour starts around 14:00 o’clock. For these visiting days no registrations are necessary – however, please appear punctually shortly before the beginning of the respective guidance.

Please take note that our farms are not petting zoos and that any contact between you and our protégés is always at our discretion, taking into account the individual preferences and the daily sensitivities of the individual animals and only in our presence.

We are looking forward to your appearance.

There is still a lot to do on our ‚Elisenhof‘. Without the support of numerous energetic helpers we would be pretty upset. Therefore, there will be small to large work assignments at regular intervals, about which we will inform you on our Facebook page ‚Lasst die Tiere leben e.V.‘, at Instagram under @lasstdietiereleben or in the news. You are also welcome to register for our newsletter. Just send us an email with the subject ‚Newsletter‘ to lasstdietiereleben@gmail.com . Thanks a lot!

Also on our ‚Animal Refuge‘ there are many possibilities to help every day and so we are very happy about every active support. Also here we announce requests on our social media channels as well as here in the news. Should you feel like visiting our Animal Refuge, please contact us via email at lasstdietiereleben@gmail.com in advance.
